- Oli Adams and myself were due to be on a plane in four hours time and wanted to try and get a couple of fisheyes at this beach in Costa Rica. The sets were small, too small, until a new swell arrived just as we had to leave, we wore the entire set.

- This trip Ian Battrick, Timmy Turner, Eric Ramsey and myself spent a couple of months camped, hours from civilisation in the Canadian Rainforest. It was amazing, the wave is incredible but so are the surroundings and wildlife. This was a moment of pure perfection, rainbows everywhere and pumping surf.

- This beach in Mex is heavy, in fact in the two weeks I was there it was only only under double to triple overhead once. This was one of those days, just absolute perfection.

- This day was so cold, – 10 plus a wind chill in the middle of an Icelandic winter. It was worth it though, in the few hours of light we had we had some sick waves with the local crew.

- This was a special morning, only Micah Lester and I out on this stretch of sand for a couple of hours. It was shifty, I wore a lot of sets, but in between it was pretty epic.

- This day was my first in the Canadian wilderness properly. We’d boated in with Pete Devries, Raph Bruhwiler, Ian Battrick and Timmy Turner. This wave is insane, but also very fickle, we sat in Canada for three and a half weeks, we got to score it once.
