12 Epic Shots of France From photographer Tim Nunn

As September looms eyes are begining to turn towards France, the Autumnal epi-centre of sandy bottomed barrels, croissants and vin rouge.

Along with the rest of the international surf fraternity of lens jockeys and pen pushers the WL team are heading down to France for a few weeks at the end of September and begining of October, to coincide with the Quiky Pro and to make issue 248 on location amongst the pine forests and perfect beachies. We’re also inviting you to join us in our massive French Gîte for one of two surf coaching weeks and a surf photography workshop week. So if you want to improve your snaps (on a wave or with a camera) and enjoy red wine and cheese then get involved! You can find all the details of the trip here.

In the meantime lets live vicariously through twelve beautiful images of SW France in all her glory by accomplished photog Tim Nunn, who will also be down in France with The Plastic project, during the aforementioned period:

Easy paddle out/ walk out, the wave was anything but this day, looks perfect but there were so many clean up sets.Spring in France, thin wetsuit, fun waves, and lips you can smash the shit out of.Same morning as the other pit of Micah's. just perfect light and waves. When the wind is onshore Capbreton throws up some ramps, Oli Adams making the most of one.Glowing dawn light and fun pits. This morning was pretty epic, Micah was the only one out, the rip was horrendous but the rewards were there. One of those fun but shifty days, you know you're going to luck into pits, just don't know when. Ian Battrick with a porcupine reflection.Bombing day at mid tide La GravSlamming a turn at La PisteLast light, swimming out.Even on tiny days you can find a bank and unleash, Micah Lester making the most of a two foot swell. Not sure there is a caption required here, just the view we all crave.
