The idea of actually owning a caravan by the sea is quite a strange concept to a lot of people. I guess you either buy a second home by the sea, or simply go on holiday for a week or a fortnight.
So in between gorging ourselves on waves we did a bit of digging around and asked a few questions to find out more about how the whole set up at Perran Sands Holiday Park works. Here are some of the details as well as some thoughts from those who know best, the people who have actually taken the plunge and bought their home in the dunes.
Holiday home ownership at Perran Sands is the perfect way for you and your family to enjoy a seaside escape whenever you want – your dog can come too. Chase away the stress, where the pace is relaxed and kids can be kids in a completely safe haven. With all your home comforts around you, and very few of the responsibilities, you can sit back and soak up the laid back atmosphere.
It’s a great place to enjoy family time together doing activities such as archery, fencing, bowls, adventure golf, miles away from the city/urban life … or simply explore some of the 550 acres of rolling, SSI (land of special scientific interest) protected sand dunes and 3 miles of golden sands.
There is also a real community feel amongst the owners, with owner events and parties including wine clubs, the summer ball and owners’ benefit packages for the whole family. Not a lot of people know this but every month we organise a free activity for our owners at the weekend. A lot of it is based around the outdoors – with activities that break from the day to day such as abseiling at Lusty Glaze cove in Newquay, canoeing at Golant near Fowey, horse riding on the beach and bushcraft for the young ones. There’s also leisure activities on site such as target shooting, archery aqua Jets Aqua Gliders roller disco rink and a gym, paddle boarding and surf school on site for lessons or hire.
