Benajamin Sanchis Scores In Senegal A lightning fast strike mission turns up the good for Sancho in Senegal

Luke Gartside

26th March 2018

As the beast from the east opened up the Atlantic for a big north swell, Frenchman Sanchis ditched the snow dusted pines of his homeland and headed for Senegal.

Senegal has been on the surf radar for many generations, thanks in part to its inclusion in the original Endless Summer, however the quality of the waves on offer may well surprise some. During the strike mission featured here-in, Sancho diverted from a planned mission to the Canaries to score what he knew would be all time conditions at this Senegalise point. He landed, headed straight out for a few hours of perfectly groomed overhead Atlantic rollers, before cramming his things back into his coffin back and flying off to wherever he’s headed next. Because when you’re a jet-setting charger there just ain’t time for dilly dallying.
