No amount of lauding or superlatives can do justice to what an inspiring character Bethany Hamilton is within our sport.
You know her crazy story by now; at 14 she had her arm ripped off by a shark, but has never let it hold her back one iota, developing into one of the hardest charging, most progressive female surfers ever.
Film maker Aaron Leiber is currently making a film about Bethany, called ‘Unstoppable’, which takes in her whole life story, and it’s due to drop later this year. It charts her life as a mother, shark attack survivor and professional surfer and from what we’ve so far, is one not to be missed.
