Britain’s Most Promising Grom, Stan Norman In Portugal

Bude's Stan Norman started 2017 with a trip to Portugal, and the waves did not disappoint.

Thirteen year old Cornish grom Stan Norman made a big impact on the international surf media with his eponymous film at the end of last year and now he’s back with a banger of a high performance edit, filmed on a little jaunt to Portugal with surf solutions.

A spell of warmer water and sunny days is always a welcome midwinter break from the hoods, gloves and rain of his hometown of Bude in Cornwall.

“We had really fun waves and surfed a lot. We stayed with Nic Von Rupp and it was great to surf with him too. Apart from the waves my favourite thing about Portugal is probably the food – yeah those little custard tart things are brilliant.” said Stan of the trip.

The clip was put together by the talented Seth Hughes of Onterre Films, who also was the brains behind ‘Stan The Movie’ and, like Stan, is one to watch as he comes up through the ranks in years to come.
