British Wetsuit Brand C-Skins Signs Matt Meola

The more eagle eyed among you may have noticed the freshly designed C-Skins logo flying down the line at J-Bay on the thigh of runner-up Wade Carmichael last week, and now the British brand have signed another huge international name in the form of Maui all-rounder Matt Meola.

After bursting into the internal conscious with a crazy Innersection part in 2011, Meola has gone on to become one of the world’s most innovative aerialists, with flips, double spins and physics defying lay-backs all within his repertoire. However his prowess is not limited to aerial manoeuvres. As with many of his fellow Maui natives, Meola also has a penchant (and a talent in) giant surf, leading to many peg him as one of the best all rounders in the world.

As well as all that wave riding, Meola fishes, spearfishes and dives regularly, with all activities requiring a top quality wettie.

“Spending so much time in the water I’m stoked to have C-Skins supporting me with their wetsuits” he said. “I’ve just got home from the Mentawais where I put the C-Skins vest range through their paces – they worked great!”

“We are stoked to have Matt riding for C-Skins,” explains Mark Brown, Technical Director at C-Skins “Matt
loves pushing boundaries and experimenting, which is a great fit for C-Skins. Having Matt feedback to our
design team will only help to improve our products further, we are so happy to have him on board.”
