The Caparica Primavera Surf Fest; Bringing 10 Days Of Surfing & Live Music To Portuguese Shores

Costa De Caparica is once again gearing up to welcome revellers for 10 days of surfing and music in what is now the biggest festival of its kind in the country.

Taking place from March 22nd to 31st, The Caparica Primavera Surf Fest brings together hundreds of athletes across dozens of categories and a whole host of artists, for six nights filled with the best music coming out of Portugal right now.

Begining four years ago as a Pro Junior contest, the event has grown exponentially, now welcoming athletes from across the wave riding spectrum, from bodysurfers, through super-groms and longboarders, to top QS surfers.

Among them is a six strong British contingent, including QS’ers Angus Scotney, Will Bailey and Harry DeRoth as well as ten year old rising star Lucas Skinner, who will be competing in the Matta U13 invitational and his dad Ben Skinner, who will be competing in the longboarding division.

The musical highlights are also looking seriously exciting. There is an extremely varied programme, with an artistic offering that includes pop, rock, hip-hop featuring the top names in Portuguese music, including the likes of Mishlawi and SlowJ.
