The Craziest Day Of The Season At Newport Wedge

Last weekend saw a solid long period south swell arrive at Newport Wedge.

Often promising looking charts can fall flat at the famed Orange County novelty wave, however on Saturday everything lined up and the chart delivered as promised, seeing big finely groomed wedges gracing the line up through much of the day. The local crew of spongers and stand ups got stuck in, with the large excitable pack including the likes of Kris Espinoza, Tommy Cantrell, JJ Ayala and Tyler Thornsley.

The US east coast has been enjoying a super consistent run of ex-hurricane swells, accompanied by favourable winds and we’re sure the west coasters are stoked to finally have something to get excited about.
