Cuban Brothers and Dub Pistols to Kickstart 25 Years of Surf Experience

25 years ago Surf Experience in Lagos Portugal opened their doors for business and they have rarely looked back since.

The year was 1992 – the American president looked fairly normal (despite not having sexual relations), Jimmy Nail had a UK number one hit and Windsor Castle was burning down – meanwhile the team at Surf Experience were embarking on building a new surf holiday, created for love rather than money.

The Dub Pistols will be having a Mucky Weekend no doubt.

Fast forward 25 years and the same philosophy continues, the team successfully intertwine everything surf with decent music and social events.

The night is all wrapped up nicely with the enigmatic and hilarious, perma-tanned Cuban Brothers

To celebrate this milestone Surf Experience are bringing together a headline grabbing bunch of musicians to a free international one night festival in Lagos to party the night away.

But being the great folk that they are they are, not only are they throwing the party for free but they are also crowdfunding to cover the costs and to raise extra money for good causes. The festival is a celebration/party/charity/ocean awareness shindig all wrapped up nicely with the enigmatic and hilarious, perma-tanned Cuban Brothers.

“The town of Lagos has had a huge influence on us and we couldn’t have done anything without this beautiful part of the world. Lagos has two beautiful coastlines and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone from the Costa Vicentina up to Faro.” Toby from Surf Experience told us.

Crowdfunding options available to those willing to pledge include chance to win a Kelly Slater Firewire and also the possibility to become a key sponsor for the event.

To find out more head over to the crowdfunding site and make sure you find yourself in Lagos this forthcoming May.
