Dane Reynolds leaves Quiksilver

It has announced this morning that Dane Reynolds has left Quiksilver. It has been reported that the move comes after Quik’s restructuring left the brand unable to offer the amount of dough that Dane required. Undoubtedly a blow for the brand who’s team of surfers at the top level seems to have depleted somewhat in recent years. They do however has some pretty good up and comers, including Leo Fivoranti and Kanoa Ingrigashi, meaning the stage may well be set for another generation of Quiksilver team competitive dominance in the not too distant future.

As for Dane, will we see a resurgence of Summer Teeth? or perhaps a signing with a new company? or just an expansion of an existing sponsor? Time will tell, but we’re excited to see what new projects a new partnership may bring.
