Dark days in Asturias

Will Hayler

1st December 2014

Jaded by the bright lights, loud noises, fluro rash vests and the whole scene in general that is the South West of France our Afends European Chapter, including UK rider Seb Smart & French upstart Erwin Taupinard, bailed across the border in search of something darker.

Many miles through dark mountains shrouded in rain clouds across the border from France lies Asturias, a region stepped in history and cider, rugged hills and abandoned farms felt right at home. Spending days surfing river mouths and a few deserted beaches in the rain and cruising through deserted farmsteads the fuelled by equal parts Coffee, Cigarettes and Cider. Filmed and edited by Sebastian Thomas.
