European Wooden Surfboard Meet 2024 heads to Spain

On Friday 27 September and Saturday 28 September a fourth European Wooden Surfboard Meet will be held at Playa de Berria, in the vicinity of Santoña (Cantabria, Spain).

While many attendees know each other and communicate online, the event is an excellent opportunity to meet people in person and appreciate each other’s work in real life.

The non-commercial, non-competitive gathering is a way to bring together artists, craftsmen and engineers whom work towards a more eco-conscious and sustainable surfboard making industry.

Despite the event’s name and because the industry advanced over the last couple of years organisers would like to stress that all eco-friendlier-surfboard makers are welcome to join.

The event will start on Friday evening with participants arriving for some drinks. On Saturday attendees are asked to bring their crafts to put on display and for testing. Apart from fun, sharing knowledge and experience are extremely valuable for progress of the community.

To spice things up, legendary longboarder and master shaper Tom Wegener will join the Surfboard Meet too.
