Instagram is fast becoming the go-to social media for almost anything. It’s eclipsing Facebook as the place to head for images accompanied by pseudo inspiring cliche-laiden captions, outdoing twitter as the best place to pester your favourite celebs with direct messages and even batting away old snapchat with its new stories feature.
As well as reams upon reams of incredible surf photography and more photoshopped girls in bikinis than society needs there are some damned hilarious surf themed accounts.
So here’s a rundown of five of our favourites, hit follow on each and jazz up your feed with some surf themed hilarity.
Number 1– World Surf Lols
World Surf Lols has been going for just over a year and a half and has amassed a mighty 242k following. It features user submitted photoshopped surf shots including face swaps, bobble heads and people surfing on sharks. It’s the sort of account you can’t really do justice to with words, so best to just click here and start scrolling.
Number 2- Kook Of The Day
Next up is Kook Of The Day, which uses covertly shot, user submitted snaps to mock all things deemed kooky by it’s 435k strong following. Some of it features absurd kook-sightings worthy of ridicule and some of it is people just people living their lives, but there is definitely some top quality lols buried in there.
Number 3- Kook Slams
Similar to Kook of the day, but dedicated entirely to wipeouts, some horrifically brutally and some playfully tame. If you love whiling away hours watching fails on youtube, you’re going to dig this:
Number 4- Barrel Dodgers Anon
Here’s a relatively new account, started to compile barrel dodgers efforts to avoid that aquatic tunnel we’re all so keen to be a part of.
Number 5- Kama The Surfing Pig
It’s the adventures of a surfing pig for crying out loud. What’s not to love!
