WATCH: Florida Surfers Star In Hilarious News Interview As Hurricane Dorian Hits A pair of Florida surfers have continued the long and excellent tradition of mugging off news reporters in search of sensational stories of storm related danger...

Luke Gartside

7th September 2019

There’s a long and lively tradition of surfers mugging off concerned news reporters when a storm (swell) looms.

The most famous is, of course, the ‘so pitted’ viral surfer, who revealed 15 years after his interview that- as many suspected – the whole thing was a full send-up. Other highlights include this stranded joker and this one from skegness– which is our personal favourite- featuring a news anchor attempting to corner a surfer supposedly wanted by police.

Today sees a brand new addition, featuring a bemused reporter and a pair of lifeguards excited for some tube time once hurricane Dorian hits…
