There were fears earlier this year that new plans to dredge sand from the Mundaka estuary would send the wave into an extended period of dormancy- as happened back in the mid 00’s. However it looks like those fears may well have been unfounded, as clips of the iconic Basque left hander doing its thing have started to appear once again on our screens.
