Grom Files – Ben Tucker

The new issue is about to hit the shelves and in it is a mega trip to Portugal with some of Britain’s up and coming groms. Sadly as we wanted to run shots big we didn’t have room for the interviews, so they are going up day by day on here. Here’s the next one, Ben Tucker, 14, from Tynemouth.name: Ben Tucker

describe a typical day at home: On a Saturday i will wake up and check the waves, Steve at Tynemouth surf Co has a camera on the shop so we can see how it’s looking, if they are no good then I will jump back into bed. But, if there is waves I get up grab some cereal and get the bus down to the beach. I normally try to phone a couple of mates to see if there around. Then it is waiting down the beach for some little peak to pop up, the tide to do it’s thing or just skating around on the cruisers. The best days are when I get the chance to go exploring finding new waves to surf and empty beaches with perfect lines.
