Kai Lenny On His Hyrdo-Foil VS John John On His Sailboat

The term waterman is bandied around an awful lot, but no one defines it better than Kai Lenny.

The 22-year-old from Maui is s a renowned  big wave surfer, stand-up paddle boarder (he’s won no less than six world championships), windsurfer, kitesurfer and has recently hit the headlines with hydro-foiling antics, which saw him riding open ocean swells, hovering a few feet above the surface of the ocean.

In this brand new flick from Hurley we find him out in the sea somewhere in between the islands of Hawaii, hanging out with good friend John John Florence, whose love of the ocean also extends beyond surfing.

Many were first introduced to John John’s penchant for sailing in View From A Blue Moon and since then his aspirations regarding wind based transport have grown,  with plans afoot to sail to the event in Tahiti this year and eventually, around the world.

For now though, he’s content with racing Kai…
