There ain’t nothing like a mad bearded Aussie getting square stand up kegs over dry rock to get you gawping your way through your mid-week hump.

In this instance, the mad Aussie in question is Kerby Brown, undoubtedly one of the nation’s hardest chargers. He spent much of his adult life working on off-shore oil rigs, whilst hunting crazy waves firmly beneath the radar, however in recent years he’s lit up the internet with a series of clips, most notably featuring a few ridiculous sessions (and horrendous wipeouts) at The Right. He became so enamoured with the spot and all the incredible waves near by that a few years ago he decided to up sticks from his home in the north west and settle permanently in WA.

He now works on a mate’s charter boat, raises a family with his wifr and chases swells along the 6000 miles of slab wave rich coastline that his home state boasts.

Last year he told Tracks in an interview that surfing waves that don’t look surfable was the thing that excited him most
