Lee Wilson in ‘Sosa Badman’ Lee Wilson finding perfect aquatic canvases around his home in Indo

‘If I had a choice’ says Lee Wilson ‘I would just stay in Indo. I mean if we’re talking about getting clips, why would we chase something thats not really there- if you’re on a small budget your not going to pay five grand to go to a place when it costs you a hundred bucks to get on a ferry and get the longest left barrel of your life.’

By the looks of his new clip, ‘Sosa Badman’ – Wilson has done just as he desired. It begins with a section featuring him shredding right on his doorstep in Bali, before drifting off to a neighbouring island for more picture perfect kegs and dream ramps than any man could hope for.

If you’re curious about the enigmatic half Aussie half Indo, you can watch a super insightful interview with him here, where he describes his formative years growing up and going to school in Indo, his struggle to get sponsored within an Aussie-USA centric surf industry, and how he almost turned his back on surfing altogether.
