With Wavelength Drive-In Cinema showcasing the classic Brit surf feature Blue Juice on the clifftops of Watergate Bay, we caught up with Sean Pertwee and director Carl Prechezer to reflect on the making of the movie.

Sean, back in London after six years in NYC shooting Gotham, reveals how the film was the best project he’s ever been involved in and the bonds he still has with the Cornish surf community in St Agnes that welcomed him and the crew 25 years ago.

The 1995 film, Film4’s first ever theatrical release, received a warm reception from the critics and provided a Brit counterpoint to Point Break (also showing at Wavelength’s Drive In Cinema summer!) with a warm characterisation a time when Cool Britannia meets the Cornish surf scene in an entertaining rollick through British shred sensibilities.
