Longboarding Perfection Down Mexico Way

When you think of Mexico you probably think of head-high churning sand-bottomed points or the huge beach break barrels of Puerto Escondido.

However, the land of tequila, chihuahuas and cacti also boasts some of the funnest longboarding waves on the planet, as sampled here by Italian logger Alessandro Ponzanelli.

“The Baja California Peninsula has always been an exotic place, not the typical surf destination for someone like me who comes from the old continent,” he explains. “Wide open spaces, endless roads, contrasting colors and atmospheres. A slice of heaven where it’s still possible to enjoy the adventure.”
