A Magical Surf Trip To Senegal Surfing in Senegal is a magical experience.

Surfing in Senegal is above all an adventure.

It means going to a country where few people have surfed, or even knew you could surf…

Senegal and the Dakar peninsula in particular, sits right at the western tip of Africa, exposed to the swell of the Atlantic Ocean and El Niño’s warm currents in winter. The surroundings of Dakar offer a plethora of spots, each with its own specificities. With three coasts oriented respectively to the North, South and East, you are guaranteed to surf in Senegal all year round.

The surfing experience is magical. Anyone used to Europe, Indo, or even Morocco will be amazed by the true African culture. In Senegal, the days go by at human pace, you live by the rhythm of the smiles on people’s faces, for the contagious joy of living, not waiting for tomorrow’s promises but enjoying every day as if it was the last.

Senegal is a world full of life, full of colours, made of Senegalese people’s beating hearts. Dakar is a city buzzing with life where you will find street shops, motley cabs with mesmerising music, Senegalese ladies with multi-coloured dresses standing tall and proud.

In the streets, next to people fighting amongst an electrified crowd, enjoy the delight of fish freshly brought back from the sea or Yassa chicken with its marvellous peanut sauce…

At sunset, everyone gathers on the beach for fiercely disputed football games. In the heart of the night, the energy on the dance floor illuminates the city.

Above all, Senegal is all about powerful rocky breaks, tubes from outer space, the warm blue water, and surfing sessions on your own in the immensity of this wild nature.
