Natxo González Returns To His Ridiculously Perfect Wave With Friends

Remember when Natxo González found that crazy sand bottomed right somewhere in the world and went there with just his filmer to have a stab at surfing it?

Remember how the wave was really incredible but extremely difficult to navigate and Natxo came away feeling very stoked, but without huge amount of made barrels to speak of.

“When I was here for the first time with my good friend and filmer Jon Aspuru, I was really scared at times.” he said. “The wave breaks in really shallow water, we were all alone. After catching a couple of waves, I stopped surfing. Not because I was tired or the waves stopped, it was simply too dangerous. There was no one around, it is a long drive to the nearest town and an even longer one to the nearest hospital.”

So when he saw another swell marching towards his mythical wave, he called up a few buddies to fly over with him, because impossible waves are always a little bit easier to surf when you’ve got someone calling you in off the shoulder.
