The Leveller Contest

The event, which took place at Sennen Cove was the first of its kind, with coaching from top instructors and pros, a beach clean-up and The Leveller surf comp. The winner took home a custom shaped ‘CORD’ surfboard and a matching Nixon Supertide watch.

At the core of the event is a desire to bring these young surfers from different backgrounds together and promote surfing and its healthy lifestyle through a fun day of competition with the chance for everyone to win – thanks to the a unique handicap scoring system. In the end, everyone leaves with a few tips to improve their surfing, new friends, good memories and some sick prizes!

Sam Lamriroy, organizer & former pro surfer said “Surfing is a wonderful thing. It is about challenging and pushing yourself, connecting with others and sharing this experience. It is more than just the act of riding a wave, more than the equipment you chose to ride, the ocean you play in, the beach you call home, the level you perform at. Disguised as ‘something fun to do’ – this simple passion has the power to shape our lives, enrich our very existence.”
