Six heart surgeries and the installation of a pace maker later and Mikey De-Temple can still surf in the snow.

Having third-degree heart block and a pace maker doesn’t stop surfer Mikey DeTemple from hitting the snowy, winter waves.

The super stylish logger lives in the middle of NYC and relishes the chance to jump in for a few cold hours walking to the nose in between other creative missions. “To be a surfer in New York you have to be able to drop everything and go.” says Mikey, a sentiment us Brits are also very familiar with.
