In the past few years aerial footage has become a common fixture in surfing clips thanks to massive advancements in drone tech, and now we get to see the worlds best waves from an angle previously only enjoyed by the exotic birds (and sea gulls) that fly above them. Over the next 5 days we’ll be bringing you our 5 favourite clips shot from a drone.

In at number 4 is this incredible perspective on one of the most filmed waves in the world. The clips shows the raw power of the spot, as well as shining a light on its strange dynamics, as the waves refract off the jetty, grow as they join oncoming waves & unload onto the shallow sand bank.
