Pedro Scooby Suffers Head Injury After Crazy Nazare Session

Tuesday and Wednesday of this past week saw some pretty crazy action going down at Nazaré, with a few tow bombs dominating the day on Tuesday, followed by a hefty paddle session on Wednesday.

First came this clip, featuring Francisco Porcella (who we’re sure will be stoked that he’ll now be better known for a make than his horrific wipeout reel) on what many think is the biggest wave ever towed at Nazaré, which, by extension, means the biggest wave ever surfed. Even if it’s not strictly the biggest, it’s definitely the longest and best ridden XXXL wave we’ve ever seen out there, so big props to Porcella:

Next up came some of the drone highlights from the day, offering a mesmerising perspective on the Portuguese beast:

And finally, unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, the paddle session on Wednesday ended in tears for one of the international contingent of hell-men who descended on Nazaré for the swell – Brazilian Pedro Scooby, who suffered a head injury after a nasty wipeout.
