Podcast Ep 12: The Surf Shithousery Top 5

According to Urban Dictionary, Shithousery is defined as:

A Chiefly British term for underhanded conduct or gamesmanship in a sport, with the intention of gaining an advantage. Typically refers to association football.

Well guess what? It’s not just association football, folks. So long as we’ve got the Medinas, the Dingos and the Hardmans, so long as there are the Slaters and the Beschens, there’s shithousery in the shredosphere alright.

To kick of 2020, your favourite surf podcast It’s Not The Length took a look back through great moments in surf shithousery and came up with an all time Top 5 for the latest instalment, Episode 12.

And no, it’s not Medina in all 5, before you ask (although he may feature in more than one).

With its epic leash pulls at Pipe, paddling up the inside and out of competition area, sneaky heat start snakings, intentional priority interference moves both for and against, without shithousery, where would we be?

We’d be bored.

Get in touch with the show with you own feedback, thoughts or opinion and we’ll be offering the best correspondence a Chilly’s water bottle each episode.
