Dane Reynolds has always been an enigma, evading the rigid categories set up by the surf industry which most pros slot so neatly into. This film provides an intimate glimpse into Dane’s world, as he tussles with his career trajectory, his cultural heritage and what it is to be ‘cool’. These insights are of course interspersed with clips of him surfing, which exemplify perfectly why he is so highly revered across the surfing community.
