‘Rollercoaster’ Featuring Cornish Ripper Angus Scotney

18 Year Old Cornish ripper Angus Scotney has had a bit of a tricky year. First he tore the MCL ligament in his knee whilst training down in France, putting him out of the water for six months then, on a jaunt to Rome with his girlfriend, had his van broken into and all his worldly possessions stolen.

Eighteen is not a good age to have to take time out of the water when you’re trying to build a surf career, and it’s certainly not a good time to get robbed, but Scotney’s to get back on the horse now his knees healed up. He’s got a crazy packed winter trip schedule planned with a view to stacking as many quality clips and shots as possible. “This winter I’m going to Hong Kong for 4 days with my girlfriend, then going surf hunting in NZ for two months, then Australia for two months for more of the same, then finishing in LA” he told us. Beyond that Angus is unsure if his plans will focus around free surfing, comp surfing, or heading off to Uni. “I’ve been out the water for a long time so I just want to get back into it again.” he said when quizzed on his long term plans. We look forward to see the fruits of his winter adventures.

Until then here’s his latest clip, filmed before he did his knee around France and The UK, enjoy:
