A Scottish Surf Film Starring The Country’s Underground Local Rippers

Filmed over the best sessions of 2017 and featuring all the underground rippers who call the land of tartan home.

The beautiful waves that make up Scotland’s northern coastline are most often featured on films by crews of travelling surfers, who’ve blown in from south of the border and beyond.

However, Thurso and the surrounding area also boasts a bourgeoning crew of talented underground rippers, each with a vast local knowledge and perfectly refined technique for the epic waves which make up their stomping ground. Here’s an ode to those local rippers, with a few visitor cameos thrown in for good measure, filmed by local lensman Malcolm Anderson and featuring the best days of 2017.

The cast, in order of appearance, is as follows: Chris Clarke, Chris Noble, Neil Simmonds, Dave Adams, Scotty Main, Hamper MacLeod, Dylan MacDonald, Ian Battrick, Mark Cameron, Nic Von Rupp, Ben Larg & Mark Boyd.
