Scotsman Lost At Sea For 32 Hours Returns To The Waves

Remember the Scottish surfer who was lost at sea for 32 hours, only to be rescued and vow he’d never surf again?

Well the fine folk at SurfSnowdonia spotted the PR opportunity of a lifetime, inviting the surfer,  Matthew Bryce, and a load of his mates to come have a splash about at their artificial wave in north Wales.

Cynicism aside it actually makes for a fairly heartwarming tale, and after an experience too horrible and traumatic to imagine, we’re glad to see him regaining the froth power-stancing his way along a Snowdonia runner.

“When he described the full experience of what he went through it’s one of the most harrowing things I’ve ever heard,” says film maker Mr B. “hopefully this is a big step to getting back in the surf.”
