A Show Reel From One Of The World’s Best Surfing Cinematographers

From incredible underwater visuals on a trip with JJF & Slater to barrels the size of busses in rich HD, there's so much to love about One Palm Media's new showreel

Luke Gartside

8th February 2018

One Palm Media have just dropped an pretty incredible water showreel, shot by Talon Clemow, featuring an all start cast in a host of incredible waves.

Over the course of the last few years Clemow has had access to many of the world’s best including Steph Gilmore, Craig Anderson, Dane Reynolds, Kelly Slater and John John Florence.

“In the back of my mind I always knew I’d shoot a trip with Kelly Slater.” he said on Swellnet “I just didn’t think it’d be his first ever surf trip with John Florence in a remote tropical line up and at times, there’d only be the three of us in the water, working. Because, that’s what it is right? Work…. yep, that’s what I tell people!”

In terms of what inspires the talented film maker most, it ain’t perfect crystal waves or Kelly Slater’s bottom turn but something altogether more universal:

“I think I’m most inspired by commitment these days.” He told Stab. “Anyone that really makes the decision to commit to what they’re passionate about and follow it through with hard work and dedication–I can really draw inspiration from them and apply it to my own life. No matter the field that they’re in, whether it’s surfing, business or whatever… it’s universal and connects on a human level.”
