Over the last few years, the popularity of soft top surfboards has exploded.

There are all sorts to choose from, with options ranging from 5’4 twin fins with square tails to hand shaped 8’4 foamies and everything in between.

Previously the sole preserve of small wave enthusiasts, the last few years have seen surfers from across the spectrum of surf culture adding a bit of foam to their quiver, gifting us a whole slew of highly entertaining clips.

There’s this one of Jobe Harriss and a bunch of UK groms getting smashed on ’em in a Portuguese shorey, this clip of Rob Machado, Kalani Robb and Tyler Chapman at the wedge, Rob Kelly at maxing off the wall, this one of JOB doing foam board transfers on the north shore and now here’s another classic, straight out of central Cali, to add to the soft top play list:
