Balmy Temps & Wall To Wall Sunshine Forecast For The Opening Weekend Of The Wavelength Drive-In Cinema

We’re just a few days away from the opening weekend of our summer of drive-in cinema and with clear skies and soaring temperatures forecast for Watergate Bay, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you all through the gates.

After a stellar run in 2020, we’re back this year on the other side of the bay, with a huge 10m LED screen, plenty of space to enjoy the panoramic views and a packed lineup of surf flicks, family favourites and cult classics.

It all kicks off with Surf’s Up and Big Wednesday on Friday, with Pirates Of The Caribbean and Dirty Dancing following on Saturday and a live performance from the Fisherman’s Friends on Sunday evening before their film rolls. With balmy temperatures forecast throughout the weekend and plenty of space between the cars, you’re welcome to roll out a blanket or pull up a camping chair and watch the films al-fresco!

There are still a few tickets left for each screening, but we’re expecting a full house, so make sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

In addition to creating the best possible outdoor cinema experience, we’ve teamed up with some of our favourite brands and local food tents to bring that festival feel to our clifftop site.

As well as live music in the evening and a Goodrays CBD Chill Out Zone, we’ll have a fully stocked bar, with Korev Lager on tap, plenty of English sparkling wine from ‘The Uncommon’ and gin from Sipsmith.

There’ll be Iced coffee from Jimmy’s, hot coffee from Caravan as well as non-alcoholic options from Sipsmith, Lucky Saint alcohol-free beer and Feel Good natural fruit sparkling water.

Over in our food village, we’ll be offering a range of hot and cold options, plus, popcorn, chocolate from Tony’s Chocolonely and ice cream from Haagen Daz.

And for motorcycle fans, we’ll have Harley Davidson and Royal Enfield on-site showing off their range of classic and contemporary bikes.

Grab your tickets here and we’ll see you up there for a cold beer and a sunset.
