Sweedish Surfers Build A Standing River Wave

To Sweden now, where three wave starved friends set out to build themselves a standing river wave, using a portable wooden ramp. Whilst their mark 1 versions is in itself fairly impressive, the boys have already got their sights set on something bigger, as Daniel, the waves chief architect, told SurferToday:

“The next one is due when the spring flood hits, or maybe once it has calmed down just a little bit. The idea is to use the old one, plus another section at least as wide, and a bit higher, possibly try to make it barrel a bit at one end or something fun like that.”
