WATCH: Tug Boat Pulls Barge Through Pumping Lineup With Disastrous Consequences

Surfers are almost unique in their enjoyment of turbulent seas. For the hard working sea farers of the world, a solid swell is a pain in the arse, and, often a pre-cursor to disaster.

On a recent trip to Nicaragua, pro skimboarder Blair Conklin witnessed a tug boat driver on a tight schedule attempting to drag a boat seaward, despite a solid swell sending big ol’ rollers swinging right into his tug path.

The voice behind the camera is getting quite a kick out the disaster that ensues, until he realises there’s a bloke on the barge wearing the bomb set on the head, with no way out. At which point, to his credit, insists the boat he’s on zips over there to make sure the fella’s ok.

Luckily Conklin reported that all was well with both the barge and its passenger, both of which washed up on the beach unharmed. So hit play and revel guilt free:
