A fire has broken out at Uluwatu village on Bali’s Bukit peninsula.
Photos are currently circulating on social media showing plumes of black smoke, which can be seen from miles around, rising up from near the collection of warungs and restaurants which line the cliff above the iconic surf spot.
The fire is reported to have begun in the cliffside village, before spreading to Bluepoint in Labuansait, which appears to have sustained serious damage.
Several fire engines have been reportedly attending the scene and the fire is said to be under control. It is not yet known how it began, or whether anyone has been injured in the blaze. More updates to follow.
