Set among the kelpy, sea stack lined coves of Central California, it’s a celebration of thirty-something radical. As Nate and Brendon wield clean, smooth blades in largely everysurfer, relatable waves, a laid back jazzy score simultaneously leads you towards amp up, and sophorological gains.

“The more you practice it and the more you do it, the harder it is to achieve it,” says Brendon, who looks more like a junior doctor with remarkable stamina for a 36 hour shift and a remarkable ability to make key clinical decisions despite fatigue, than a professional aerialist.

“For the most part, I feel a lot more comfortable with my approach in this day and age, sort of being on the mellower side” says Nate, whose pro surf side hustle is creating kinetic steel sculptures.

For how fun the surf looks in DUEWEST, repeating glassy bowls and sliceable sections running before tucked away bluffs, the sea sure looks chilly, as nutrient rich upwelling from the California Current brings water temperatures decidedly down.

Luckily, Nate and Brendon are sporting the latest sublime rubbery offerings from Manera’s wetsuit range; supple, toasty, long lasting rubber.
