Every year Britain’s best surfers high-tail it up to the Northern coast of Scotland to compete in the Thurso Open and last year, Reubyn Ash figured he’d stick around for a little while after the comp wrapped to see what he could see. Here we find him enjoying near-perfect conditions at Bagpipes, one of the region’s most notoriously sketchy and fickle mistresses.
