WATCH: State Of Play; Featuring A Surfer & Photographer Duo On A Trip Into The Desert

Here’s a brand new short from the crew at NeedEssentials, following surfer and photographer duo Drew McPherson and Nathan Henshaw.

Drew is a little known shredder from east coast Aus who makes his crust teaching kids to surf in the summer, before hitting the open road when his work goes quiet in the winter months. This clip follows one such trip with Drew and his buddy Nathan Henshaw– a super talented lensman, responsible for the excellent image you see in the cover slot above- as they journey along a stretch of deserted Aussie coastline in search of waves.

It showcases the stunning water cinematography of Nathan and captures the relationship between a surfer and lensman making a short surf film. This film is a unique exhibit of light, oceanic elements and celebrates what many surfers spend their whole life chasing.
