Playing above is Mimi, the story of Miriam Faccenda, a Swiss surfer who grew up in the middle of the Alps.
“I always knew I was meant to be somewhere a little more salty and a little more barefoot,” she told Wavelength. “Surfing gives me that feeling of freedom—being and becoming one with nature, with the ocean. It’s taught me so much and really shaped me into the person I am today. I’m so grateful I stepped out of the normal life I was told to follow and chose to live the life I always dreamed of. Not saying it’s always been easy, but it’s definitely been worth it.”
