Introducing The Wavelength X Finisterre Subscription Special

To welcome the start of winter and celebrate the launch of our brand new print edition we’ve teamed up with our friends at Finisterre to help get you kitted up for cold snaps and long hikes in the days ahead.

For a limited time only, we’re offering new subscribers to Wavelength a free Finisterre waist pack and an exclusive 20% discount on their 5mm hooded wetsuit.

That’s two volumes of Wavelength, a brand new recycled bum bag (worth £25) and £72 off your next winter wetty, all for just £20. Click here to get yours while stocks last.

The Waist Pack

Made from 100% recycled polyester, leftover from the production of Finisterre’s waterproof jackets, this light-weight waist pack is perfect for storing all your essentials, (fin key, an extra layer, foraged flora etc) on a day or night out.

It was produced as part of the brand’s Fabric Use-Up project, which takes quality leftover fabrics and repurposes them into a range of dazzling new accessories. It’s a perfect example of the sort close-loop design the world needs right now and as a bonus, means it’s a lucky dip on which bold-colour you end with on your waist pack, no doubt saving you several minutes of choice paralysis.

The Wetsuit

We’re also offering every new and existing* subscriber 20% off Finisterre’s whole range of wetsuits, including, of course, the most seasonally appropriate; the Nieuwland hooded 5mm. It’s their warmest suit ever, developed over several years of field testing and now including an extra 6mm lumbar patch, high pile lining for increased heat retention and their signature calf loops to help you get it on and off.

The Magazine

Winter Volume 259 is hot off the presses. It’s dedicated to the unseen and the unsung; stories of events and individuals that bubble just beneath the surface of surf culture.

Inside, we’ll meet a Canarian waterman with an extraordinary life story and an underground shaper who makes twinnies for the world’s best. We’ll observe the embattled life of Sunny Garcia and the series of events that transformed Uluwatu in the early 70s. We’ll learn how Pacific Islanders developed new ways of seeing to navigate the vast oceans around them and tell the tale of the shell necklace boom that sealed the fate of a surfing wilderness. Plus, a strange forgotten chapter from surf history based on a remote Scottish Isle and a whole host of fresh visual perspectives, taking you from California to Siberia and back again.
