Winter In Aus, Indo & Hawaii With Harry De Roth

It’s long been understood that for Brits looking to elevate their surfing to an international standard, it’s imperative to get away from native shores and head for pastures which offer waves that pack a bit more punch.

Last winter St Ives’ Harry De Roth did just that, travelling to three of the most wave rich nations on earth over the course of several months, with filmer Greg Denis in tow. He started out in Aus, staying with his Dad in Phillip Island, before hopping over to Bali and finally finished up in Hawaii.

The result is this nine minute clip, featuring De Roth fine tuning his high performance game on fun sized runners, taking on some Pacific ocean bombs at Waimea and slotting a few funnels along the Seven mile miracle:
