It’s been a good start to winter down here in Britain’s south-west corner.

Characterised, as ever, by consistently surfable waves, with brief moments of brilliance. The key to maximising water time has been a healthy knowledge of all the coastline’s twists and turns, a willingness to drive to whichever bend suits the given conditions best and having a variety of different boards at your disposal, to make the best of whatever you find.
