The World’s Most Entertaining Surf Comp Might Be About To Run At Shipstern Bluff

UPDATE: The comp has been called on for Monday. Full details here.

Waaay back in 2018 we brought you the news that Redbull were planning a follow up to their crazy Ours based Cape Fear event at none other than Shipstern Bluff.

Now, finally, the event has a potential start date, with an ‘orange alert’ being called for this coming Monday. And, Mick Fanning has confirmed that he will be joining the burgeoning roster of hellmen chomping at their proverbials to get behind the rope and over the ledge (and then the step) at Tazzy’s craziest slab. Here’s a reminder of all the action from the 2016 event:

And here’s a full list of the invitees to the upcoming iteration:

Right now, that’s all we’ve got, as Rory Parker at Stab (who broke the story) is too fucked on acid to share any more details or, his boss is too busy surfing Ulus with Mason Ho to relay them to him. We’ll let you know more just as soon as RB drop a press release.
