Highlights & Results From The 2017 English Nationals

May bank holiday weekend saw England’s best surfers flock to Perranporth for the inaugural English Surf Championships, presented by Surfing England.

In a turn of ridiculous good fortune Cornwall decided to call an end to it’s month long flat spell and serve up fun sized and clean conditions for day one of competition, followed by slightly trickier but just as contestable surf on the second day.

The event not only hosted 19 divisions of competition, but a fully equipped surf village, which included a skate ramp, sports massage services and live DJ’s.

In the end it was defending champ Reubyn Ash and Lucy Campbell who took out the men’s and women’s open. Here are the highlights:
