Joe Davies is one of Europe’s most talented and stylish traditional loggers, and one of a disproportional large crop of talented surfer to emerge from the Channel Islands over the past few decades.

Hailed by his contemporaries, both at home and abroad, for his quick and light footed-ness and overall technical ability, it’s a pleasure to see Joe in action on Jeresey’s log friendly summer waves. The film was shot by Sam Hanks on Super 8, and an accompanying selection of images can be found here.
