Royal Enfield and Wavelength Present the Beach Hopper

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Wavelength HQ are stoked to announce that ahead of the Spring Classic Festival, we’re partnering with Royal Enfield to celebrate their 120 year anniversary along with our own 40th year around the sun by building the ultimate bike for surfers.

Royal Enfield makes the most custom-friendly motorcycles in the world, making builds that require a degree in motorcycle engineering a thing of the past, and custom moto culture more accessible than ever! It’s the perfect opportunity to get our hands dirty and create the bike of our dreams, the Wavelength ‘Beach Hopper’.

Within our team we have a group of enthusiastic bikers that have the vision to create a bike that is perfect for adventure, holds a board and is able to hop from beach to beach avoiding the infamous country lane ‘snarl ups’ and ducking parking costs wherever possible.

With the award winning Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 at the heart of this project, we’re also partnering up with various ‘bolt-on’ custom part companies. We’ve got a 2-1 exhaust from S&S, a tail tidy, surfboard rack and front end customisation accessories from Badwinners and BAAK. We’ve also got some nice fat knobblies for that scrambler look from Continental Tyres and a radical custom paint job from the infamous Image Design Custom.

To complete the transformation from road ride to surf scrambler, we’ve got a Goose motorcycle tent from Wingman of the Road to strap on the back, and something very special coming from BOS Surfboards.

Lots of inspiration has been drawn from some of the trips that Torren Martyn has done with Royal Enfield. Lost tracks is certainly a good movie to watch if you get excited by two wheeled adventures that include perfect waves.

To kick off the project with an ocean backdrop, we’re excited to unveil the bike in the Moto Paddock area of the Spring Classic this week, where the customisation will begin, alongside Sideburn MagazineDeus Ex MachinaUppercut DeluxePoler and much, much more!

It should be quite the spectacle turning this bike into something totally unique and watching complete novices work out how to juggle spanners and fit some amazing parts.

Swing on by and say hi with a beer in hand…let the good times roll!
